Zach Wrubel
Computer Science Student at CU Boulder
I'm currently a senior at the University of Colorado Boulder majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Philosophy. I studied Computer Science because I've always been interested in new technology and how people use it in their daily lives. I studied philosophy because I found the study of the scientific method fascinating, particularly how scientists developed methods and tools for understanding & describing the world.
I'm passionate about creating and improving technology to improve the quality of people's lives. I'm passionate about working towards a goal with a quality team. I also have a strong interest in finance and see myself working in the field in some capacity in the future. I'm looking for a way to combine my interests in computer science and finance to pursue a career I'm passionate about.
Using Python, I've created programs that tracked and visualized Covid-19 during the pandemic, programs that used Pandas and SciPy to extract and then understand data, and created artificial intelligence programs to play tic-tac-toe and connect four at varying levels of difficulty. I've had experience using SQL to sort & query datasets to answer specific questions for class projects.
Right now, I'm looking for a job that will give me opportunities to make a real difference in people's lives, while allowing me to continue developing my technical and professional skills. I'm interested in leadership positions and would love the opportunity to learn more about leading teams towards goals.
